3PL Organization TIA Accepts Nexus as Member

Nexus joins TIA Third Party Logistics Organization.

TIANexus Distribution was accepted as a member of the Transportation Intermediaries Association (TIA) on February 6, 2006. TIA is a professional and educational organization of the third party logistics industry that connects shippers, carriers, freight forwarders, intermodal companies, brokers, and government officials to increase awareness and advance standards in the transport industry. With a strong emphasis on ethics, TIA membership requires a lengthy application process and a membership peer review for approval. Members of the TIA must sign and adhere to a code of ethics that is in place to promote high principles and professionalism within the 3PL industry. By becoming a TIA member, Nexus has pledged to continuing education to maximize service, productivity, and to protecting the wellbeing and security of the shipping community.

“TIA offers many resources,” explains Will Hansen, President of Nexus. “We believe that participation in [the TIA] has the potential to help us grow the brokerage and freight forwarding side of our business…We also expect to discover tools and ideas that we can adopt to serve our customers better. It’s an ever-changing industry…you have to stay in the loop.”
