The purpose of the event was threefold:

  • Gather local logistics professionals to create a valuable networking opportunity for sharing insights and best practices
  • Celebrate the rich history of the CSCMP Chicago Roundtable and it's contributing members by recognizing its past presidents.  The Chicago Roundtable was the first CSCMP Roundtable formed and the year 2013 marks its 45th anniversary.  Several past presidents were  in attendance, including:
    • Dan Smolensky, The Modal Group
    • Rich Lavin, UTI
    • Noreen Ryan, First Logistics Management Services, LLC
    • Bob Moran, Flagship Logistics Group
    • Glen Roberts, Abbott
  • Collect charitable donations for Toys for Tots - the group gathered a lot of unwrapped gifts for the collection, thank you to everyone who contributed!

The Roundtable distributed three coveted door prizes which included two free event registrations for the 2013 plan year (through June) and one free admission to the annual full-day Spring Seminar.

The evening was filled with great company, food, industry experience, fond tidings for longstanding colleagues within the Chicago transportation, warehousing and  logistics community, and a warm welcome for newcomers to the Chicago Roundtable.  Thank you to all who attended and made the event a memorable one.
